Want to retreat from the world for a day and stop the merry go round?  Nurture your body, with gentle, soothing movement, yoga and breath work, relax your mind with guided meditaitons in nature and get nourised with delicious, healing, foods.

This wellness day will use yoga and ayurvedic principals and techniques as a base from which to explore ways to help us become more attuned to and therefore more adapatable to achieving wellbeing. Colette and Donna’s workshops have proved very popular in the past but they are capping at ten for this event to ensure personal attention.  No experience of yoga needed.

ABOUT COLETTE

I have been practicing yoga for fiveteen years and having experienced the power of yoga in my own life I was driven to learn as much as I could, so I could pass on this amazing technique to others. I’d enter a class with the woes of the world and leave uplifted, inspired,  in short – sustained. All this from moving about and breathing! And what a journey it continues to be. I am certified by The Yoga Academy (BWY-accredited, RYs 500 with Yoga Alliance US and Yoga Alliance UK).

My approach to yoga is to use the practice as an anchor to develop mindfulness, in an ever more fragmented world, helping you stay connected to your true self so you can skilfully navigate life’s changes. My focus is on hatha and restorative yoga and my classes offer a safe and gentle practice of asana (postures), pranayama. (breathing) and mantra (positive affirmation).

Individual sessions allow for a more tailored approach to address specific needs and are particularly useful for beginners on the yoga path.

 

ABOUT DONNA

Donna has been practicing yoga for over 12 years.  She trained as as a Hatha yoga teacher with the British Wheel, graduating in 2015. Donna is advancing her studies with the Iyengar Institute of Amsterdam. She teaches classes and workshops in both Amsterdam and London. She likes to engage, motivate and empower people in their own learning and journey with yoga. With friendliness, clarity and focus, the learner can explore and discover for themselves their own potential and feel secure and well prepared for the next stage of their yoga practice.
